PICK YOUR SCRAPS
Is this this administration's last far flung attempt to appear relevant and decisive for a lame duck who has been lame for a lot longer than his lame duck time to remain in office?
With three years yet to limp around one has to ask with all the other turmoil in the world why is the United States getting so worked up about Putin and the Ukraine situation?
It's local politics. It's not in any even remote way in the interest of the U.S. Putin may be a black hat guy; that's pretty much a given. But on the stage of atrocities, history is full of much bigger examples where U. S. interests might have been at stake and there was less jingoism.
With the exception of some loudmouths like Arizona Senator John McCain who's spent an adult lifetime living off his POW record and not much else, some new leftist neo-cons and a few editorial writers, this is pure nonsense.
Now let's set the record straight. We have the utmost respect for Senator McCain's POW record, but it ends there. As for Mr. Obama, the former community organizer, it appears today as if he would have a difficult time organizing a decent company picnic. The same could be applied to his team.
Pick your scraps carefully is a time-worn worthy piece of advise. And if you want a more peaceful world, use whatever influence you have to let these people know this is one of them.
